The honourable Marco E. L. Mendicino: Today I join Hindu communities across the country celebrating Holi, the festival of colours.

Holi is celebrated widely throughout South Asia and around the world. It is an opportunity to celebrate the arrival of spring, and to reflect on the traditional notions of good and evil, and the final triumph of light over dark.

This celebration also allows us to recognize the important contributions of Hindu Canadians to our country, and our desire to continue to build a more inclusive and stronger Canada.

To everyone observing Holi, I wish you celebrations filled with joy and colours.

Holi Hai!
