Special ceremony with the Sayisi Dene First Nation

Ottawa – The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs will join Chief Ernest Bussidor of the Sayisi Dene First Nation and its members for a special ceremony at Tadoule Lake to mark the Government of Canada’s formal apology for the relocation of the community in the 1950s and 1960s. Complementary events will be held in Churchill and Winnipeg.
