Ministers Bennett and Zimmer to attend special event with the Algonquins of Ontario

Ottawa - The Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, the Honourable David Zimmer, Ontario Minister of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation and the Algonquin Negotiation Representatives for the Algonquins of Ontario will attend a special event to mark a key milestone in ongoing negotiations on the Algonquins of Ontario land claim.

The announcement will be followed by a media availability.

A technical briefing with negotiators for the three parties will also be held via teleconference following the event. The technical briefing will answer questions of a technical nature related to the announcement.
