Government of Canada to Make Historic Announcement on Indigenous Peoples’ Self-Determination and Rights Recognition

Ottawa – Please be advised that the Honourable Carolyn Bennett, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs, the Honourable Jody Wilson-Raybould, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, and the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and member of the Working Group of Ministers on the Review of Laws and Policies Related to Indigenous Peoples, will hold a media availability in the Foyer of the House of Commons following a statement by The Right Honourable Justin Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada, in the House of Commons.
