Don Rusnak, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services to speak at “Together we Work for Hope” in Kashechewan First Nation

Kashechewan, ON - Please be advised that Don Rusnak, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Indigenous Services, on behalf of the Honourable Jane Philpott, Minister of Indigenous Services, will deliver remarks at the “Together we Work for Hope” event, celebrating the one-year anniversary of the signing of tripartite framework agreement with the Nishnawbe Aski Nation and the Kashechewan First Nation.

The tripartite agreement, signed on March 31, 2017 by the governments of Canada and Ontario, and the Kashechewan First Nation, parties committed to the development of an action plan to support the short-, medium- and long-term sustainability of the community, with a focus on improving outcomes in priority areas including housing, socio-economic sustainability, health programs and facilities, infrastructure development, and schools and community facilities.
