Canada, British Columbia and First Nations Leadership Council to sign Tripartite Memorandum of Understanding to improve emergency management services for BC First Nations

Vancouver, BC – Please be advised that the Honourable Seamus O'Regan, Minister of Indigenous Services, alongside the Honourable Mike Farnworth, British Columbia Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Grand Chief Stewart Phillip (Union of British Columbia Indian Chiefs), Regional Chief Terry Teegee (British Columbia Assembly of First Nations), as well as Cheryl Casimer and Robert Phillips (both of the First Nations Summit) will sign a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding on emergency management.

Later that day, Minister O'Regan will be visiting Cowichan and T'Sou-ke Nation. While at T'Sou-ke Nation, Minister O'Regan will announce support for a commercial development project in the community.  

Minister O'Regan will be available to the media following the signing and while during his visit to T'Sou-ke Nation.
