Parliamentary Secretary Young to announce funding for researchers to pursue science without boundaries

September 12, 2017—Saskatoon, Saskatchewan—Kate Young, Parliamentary Secretary for Science and Member of Parliament for London West, on behalf of the Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will announce major funding for fundamental research in the natural sciences and engineering.

The funds include grants to established and early-career researchers as well as scholarships to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows across Canada. The investment will provide researchers with the foundation they need to push the boundaries of discovery and innovation while strengthening a culture of curiosity and diversity in Canadian science.

Media are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes early to sign in.
