Science Minister Duncan to participate in Science Ministerial Meetings at G7

Ottawa, September 27, 2017—The Honourable Kirsty Duncan, Minister of Science, will attend the G7 Science Ministerial Meetings in Turin, Italy, from September 27-28. She will be promoting Canadian science and the Government of Canada’s efforts to make science open and accessible to all Canadians, as well as showcasing the promising research being done in Canada to address grand global challenges.

Following the G7 meetings, she will participate in The Carnegie Group Meeting of Science Ministers, September 28-30. The Carnegie is an informal platform for science minsters to exchange ideas about practices of national policies on science and innovation and to talk about major scientific issues.
