Government of Canada to announce two major investments in life-saving research

William Amos, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry (Science), will be in Montréal on Monday to make two investment announcements.

He will be at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont in the morning to announce funding for stem cell research, which will support researchers working on new treatments for major illnesses.

In the afternoon, Mr. Amos will announce an investment in genomics research at the McGill University Health Centre. This funding will help Canada’s leading researchers generate dramatic breakthroughs in precision health.
