2010 GCWCC at the Board

November 25, 2010

The Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) came to a close for 2010 at the Canadian Forces Grievance Board on November 25th when Anne Sinclair, the Board's Executive Director and campaign champion, and her committee proudly presented $5,322 to the campaign representatives Gary Nelson and André Laframboise.

"We're very pleased with the increase in our donations this year, especially given that this is only the Board's third year of participation in this event," said Mrs. Sinclair. "This year's activities were filled with creativity, spirit and fun and we are really looking forward to next year," she added.

Speaking on behalf of GCWCC, Mr. Nelson commented "Congratulations on your success, you engaged your people and the money you collected engages our community."

Mr. Bruno Hamel, the Board's Chairperson, congratulated the campaign's team for their efforts and dedication. "Our challenge now is to continue to improve on our creativity next year." He also thanked the Board's staff for their enthusiasm and outstanding contribution, through their donations and participation in the fund-raising activities. "We are now considering a suggestion from our staff to hold fund raising events throughout the year, rather than concentrating our efforts only during the campaign's months."

The Board's GCWCC's fund-raising activities kicked off in October and included contests, bake sales and various draws.
