CFGB Meet & Greet

January 4, 2010

On December 18, 2009, the Canadian Forces Grievance Board (CFGB) hosted its first Meet & Greet for Department of National Defence (DND) personnel involved in resolving military grievances within the Canadian Forces (CF).

Commander Tony Crewe, Director Military Careers Grievances Enquiries, said "the event was a pleasant start to the holidays and a welcome opportunity to interact with personnel from the Board and the Canadian Forces Grievance Authority and exchange thoughts and ideas on our individual organizations outside of our normal work processes."

"The event was very informal and allowed myself and the Board's operations staff to personally meet DND personnel that we communicate with on a daily basis, usually by telephone, when we review military grievances referred to us by the CF", said Jim Price, the Board's vice chairperson.

Events such as this allow the Board to reach out to clients and stakeholders and foster a better understanding of the challenges faced by all those involved in the military complaint resolution process.
