# 2019-123 Careers, Recorded Warning, Remedial Measures
Recorded Warning (RW), Remedial Measures
Case summary
F&R Date: 2020-07-14
The grievor contested the Recorded Warning he received for conduct deficiency.
The Initial Authority (IA) denied redress, finding that the grievor's actions merited a remedial measure (RM). However, the IA found that the original RW addressed three separate deficiencies contrary to the applicable policy found in the Defence Administrative Orders and Directives (DAOD) 5019-4, Remedial Measures, and so he rescinded the RW and issued three separate RM to comply with the DAOD 5019-4.
The Committee agreed with the IA that the original RW could not stand because it covered multiple deficiencies contrary to policy. The Committee found that the documentation, testimonies and video footage constituted reliable evidence of the grievor's deficiencies, and that the grievor's rebuttals lacked credibility. The Committee concluded that the three separate RM were justified, appropriate and compliant with applicable policy, and recommended that redress not be granted.
