Description

Over the past few years, the Committee has received a large number of grievances concerning the recovery of PLD overpayments in the Montreal area. It is possible that other Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members are still receiving the allowance without being entitled to it. In the event of an overpayment, it is vital to identify the error as quickly as possible.

Recommendation

The Committee therefore recommended that the Chief of the Defence Staff launch Operation ZONAGE 2. Such an assessment would help the CAF fulfill their responsibilities in administering the PLD.
