About the award-winning films
- The Amina Profile by Sophie Deraspe
Best Documentary: Society
During the Arab Spring, a love story between two women—a Canadian and a Syrian American—turns into an international sociopolitical thriller that sheds light on dubious media practices and the thin line separating fact from fiction in the age of the Internet.
The Amina Profile was produced by Isabelle Couture (Esperamos) and Nathalie Cloutier (NFB). Hugo Latulippe, Michel St-Cyr, Guy Villeneuve (Esperamos) and Colette Loumède (NFB) are the executive producers.
- Guidelines by Jean-François Caissy
Best Editing: Public Affairs or Documentary Feature (Mathieu Bouchard-Malo)
This observational documentary takes a penetrating look at the sometimes difficult reality of teenagers at a rural high school. The film gradually reveals the inner conflict between fragility and reckless abandon that defines adolescence.
Guidelines was produced at the NFB by Johanne Bergeron, with executive producer Colette Loumède.
