What is the Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo?
The Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo (GCMCE) is an opportunity for Government of Canada organizations and other marine industry affiliated employers and institutions to connect with communities along the St. Lawrence Seaway and Lake Ontario to showcase what they have to offer Canada and educate them about career opportunities.
What organizations will be attending the Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo?
The GCMCE is being hosted by the Royal Canadian Navy, and will be attended by other Government of Canada organizations and departments.
Will every listed organization be attending every port visit?
Not every organization will attend each event. To see which organizations will be in your city, please visit our schedule.

When will the Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo be taking place?

Why should I attend the Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo?
The GCMCE is an opportunity to learn about potential marine industry career opportunities, but the event will also bring those from many different walks of life together. Thanks to the support of our participating organizations, we look forward to meeting a great variety of newly graduated individuals, seasoned professionals and all others looking for a career change, or simply wanting to learn more about career opportunities in this space.
Does it cost money to attend the Great Canadian Marine Careers Expo?
No, the GCMCE is a public and free event where all are welcome to come learn and have some fun.
Will there be any activities during the expo?
Yes, there will be many activities at each port for all attendees to partake in. To see what events are happening at the port nearest you, please check the port schedule. We hope to see you!
Will there be access to the Expo for those with a disability or wheelchair?
The jetty areas where the Careers Expo kiosks will be set up will be wheelchair accessible. However, some of the interactive portions of the expo such as ship tours or boat rides may not be accessible to all.
