With technologies like AI, fraudsters are constantly adapting their tricks to avoid being detected. This is why the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC), the Competition Bureau and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), are teaming up again this March to fight fraud for the 21st edition of Fraud Prevention Month (FPM).

Serge Daunais, a former executive for Pavages Maska Inc., pleaded guilty before the Superior Court of Québec in a case of bid-rigging for a paving contract awarded by the Ministère des Transports du Québec (MTQ) in and around the Granby region. He was ordered to pay a $20,000 fine.
The Competition Bureau is launching a public consultation to solicit feedback from Canadians on its proposed guidelines concerning environmental claims. This follows an initial round of consultations held during the summer of 2024.
