On February 4, 2023, as a result of the vigilance of staff members, a package containing contraband and unauthorized items was seized following a suspected drone drop at Warkworth Institution, a medium-security federal institution. The seized items included approximately 306 grams of marijuana, 164 grams of tobacco, 134 grams of shatter (cannabis concentrate), and 15 grams of MDMA.
