The Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Employment, Workforce Development and Labour, will hold a media teleconference in Bad Neuenahr, Germany. This follows her participation at the German G20 Presidency 2017 Labour and Employment Ministers Meeting– “Towards an Inclusive Future – Shaping the World of Work,” where she discussed Canada’s successful practices and policies for the fair and effective integration of migrants and refugees, as well as efforts to increase the participation of women in the workforce.

Passport services have now expanded from 151 to over 300 Service Canada Centres, providing Canadians with more options when applying for or renewing a passport. The Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, and the Honourable Ahmed Hussen, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, made the announcement today. Service Canada Centre locations across the country are now receiving passport applications and validating citizenship documents, making it more convenient and accessible for Canadians to submit passport applications.
