The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs will meet with her counterparts from the Baltic region, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Eva-Maria Liimets, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis and Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, Latvia’s Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on June 2 in Québec City.
The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will participate in an armchair discussion hosted by the Toronto Metropolitan University’s Democracy Forum entitled “Ukraine, War and Peace”. She will be joined by her Baltic counterparts Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Eva-Maria Liimets, Minister of Foreign Affairs to the Republic of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis and Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica, Latvia’s Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the event, they will discuss democracy under threat from authoritarianism, President Putin’s ongoing military aggression in Ukraine and the Canada-Baltic relationship. The discussion will be followed by a joint media availability.
The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, will be attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Ministers Responsible for Trade Meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, and then extending her visit to Singapore to promote further trade opportunities in the region.
Update - The Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will hold a media call back to conclude her participation in the G7 and NATO foreign ministers’ meetings and the Member States of the European Union meeting, that took place from May 12-16, 2022.
To kick off Asian Heritage month, the Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development, will host the United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai, in Ottawa and Toronto.

The Honourable Mary Ng, Minister of International Trade, Export Promotion, Small Business and Economic Development will be visiting Guyana and Jamaica to strengthen Canada trade relationships in the Caribbean and open new doors for Canadian businesses and exporters.
