The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will attend meetings held during the high-level segment of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly. The Minister will participate in a number of events addressing critical international issues and highlight the importance of multilateral global cooperation.
We can confirm that today 43 Canadian citizens were on board a special flight organized by the Government of Qatar, which departed from Kabul, Afghanistan, for Doha. They will be repatriated to Canada in the coming days.
