The Government of Canada is inviting Canadians to help shape the country’s first Men and Boys’ Health Strategy by completing a short online questionnaire.
Today, the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, announced more than $5 million from the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) for 6 projects across Ontario. This funding is in addition to the $30.4 million for 29 projects in Ontario announced since October 2025.
The Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) is part of the Government of Canada’s efforts to help communities rapidly respond to emerging, critical needs related to the illegal drug crisis. Health Canada is providing more than $5 million through the ETF to 6 projects across Ontario. Funding will support a wide range of urgent interventions to increase local capacity to help populations most affected by the illegal drug crisis.
The Government of Canada is launching a national conversation on men and boys’ health. Input gathered through this conversation will inform the development of Canada’s first Men and Boys’ Health Strategy, which will be released later in 2026.

Today, the Honourable Rebecca Alty, Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and Brendan Hanley, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Northern and Arctic Affairs, on behalf of the Honourable Marjorie Michel, Minister of Health, announced more than $13 million from the Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) and the Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) for 23 projects across Northern and Western Canada.

The Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) provides critical support to a range of innovative and time-limited community-based projects that emphasise supports towards treatment and recovery, as well as prevention and harm reduction.
