They will also advance collaboration and meaningful engagement with First Nations partners and support them with the planning and implementation of actions that will help them adapt to a changing climate.

This follows over a decade of engagement between the NWMO and potential host communities and votes by Wabigoon Lake Ojibway Nation (WLON) and the Township of Ignace, Ontario in favour of pursuing next steps to host the DGR.
