The Government of Canada is announcing a grant funding agreement of $245,367 for a project with WHO under PHAC’s Preventing and Addressing Family Violence: the Health Perspective investment. WHO’s project will support the global dissemination of guidance and trainings, including a clinical handbook, to continue to build capacity of health professionals to recognize and respond to child maltreatment.

Today, during a visit to the Nine Circles Community Health Centre, the Honourable Mark Holland, Minister of Health, announced $14.4 million through the HIV and Hepatitis C Community Action Fund (CAF) and the Harm Reduction Fund (HRF) for 15 projects.
The Government of Canada is committed to working with partners and stakeholders across the country in support of the global goal of ending viral hepatitis, HIV and other sexually transmitted and blood-borne infections (STBBI) as public health threats by 2030. The contribution of community-based organizations is central to Canada’s ability to achieve these targets.
