I want to extend my congratulations and gratitude to the brave men and women of the Canadian Coast Guard for their rescue of Russian helicopter pilot Sergey Ananov after his helicopter crashed in icy Arctic waters. Canadian Coast Guard Ship Pierre Radisson rescued the pilot, who is now safely on board and en route to Iqaluit.

MP Larry Maguire today announced the Harper Government will invest an estimated $25 million to improve infrastructure at the Boissevain, Cartwright, Lena and Crystal City ports of entry in Manitoba. This investment is part of the $440 million in infrastructure funding announced in November 2014 by Prime Minister Harper to replace aging ports of entry across Canada.

The National Energy Board (NEB) has approved the application of Orca LNG Ltd. (Orca LNG) for a 25 year natural gas export licence with a maximum term quantity of 901 billion cubic metres. The issuance of this licence is subject to the approval of the Governor in Council.
