In January 2022, Women and Gender Equality Canada launched a call for proposals to bolster the capacity of Indigenous women’s and 2SLGBTQQIA+ organizations to provide gender-based violence (GBV) prevention programming in order to address the root causes of violence. Six organizations received funding.
