Investing in a strong and vibrant women’s movement across Canada is essential to the Government’s plan for the middle class and those working hard to join it. By funding projects that build the capacity of women’s organizations, and Indigenous organizations serving women, we are ensuring that all women and girls, including Indigenous women, ethno-cultural women, LGBTQ2 and gender-non-binary people, non-status/refugee/immigrant women, and women living with a disability, can be financially secure, live free of violence, and participate fully in all aspects of our economy and society.
