The Promoting Health Equity: Mental Health of Black Canadians Fund supports Black Canadians to develop more culturally focused knowledge, capacity and programs to improve mental health in their communities.

The Government of Canada is providing more than $82.3 million through the Canada Community-Building Fund for 137 recipients across Manitoba in 2025-2026. These funds provide communities with stable and flexible funding for their infrastructure priorities across a wide range of categories. The funding enables local governments to plan for their current and future needs, improve housing supply, and create connected communities.
The Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP) provides time-limited funding for a wide range of innovative and evidence-informed projects including substance use prevention, harm reduction and treatment initiatives across the country.
The Emergency Treatment Fund (ETF) is part of the Government of Canada’s efforts to help communities rapidly respond to emerging, critical needs related to the toxic illegal drug supply and overdose crisis.
Financial fraud impacts everyone and is becoming harder to detect and more prevalent in Canadians’ daily lives. In 2024, the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (CAFC) reported that Canadians had $643 million stolen due to fraud, representing nearly a 300 per cent increase since 2020. The CAFC estimates that this figure only represents 5 to 10 per cent of total fraud losses in Canada, given that many victims are reluctant to report fraud.
On October 20, 2025 (TBC), the Honourable Ruby Sahota, Secretary of State for Combatting Crime, announced a federal investment of $36,912,380 to 19 organizations to help enhance Canada’s capacity to prevent and counter radicalization to violence.
