Effective December 26, 2025, the Government of Canada is imposing 25 per cent tariffs on the full value of the steel derivative products listed below from all countries. Descriptions are included for illustrative purposes, with the scope established by the tariff item in column 1.

We, the G7 Finance Ministers, held a virtual meeting on December 8, together with the Heads of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank Group (WBG), Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), and Financial Stability Board (FSB). We were also joined by Canada’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Finance Ministers and their representatives, from Australia, Chile, India, Mexico, and the Republic of Korea for parts of the meeting.
