OTTAWA, February 19, 2026 – Tax season officially launches next week. For many taxpayers, this may be the only time of year when they interact with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). It is therefore important for the CRA to respond to enquiries in a timely manner to make sure it meets taxpayers’ expectations.
“We express grave concern over the continued deadly unlawful attacks on civilians, civilian infrastructure and humanitarian operations as heavy fighting across the Kordofan and Darfur states continues. The recent severe escalation in drone and aerial attacks, including those affecting displaced civilians, health facilities, food convoys and areas near humanitarian compounds, have resulted in a significant number of civilian deaths and injuries and is further disrupting humanitarian access and supply lines.
“On the second commemoration of Alexei Navalny’s death in a Russian penal colony, we once again express our deepest condolences to his family. We underline that the Russian authorities remain solely responsible. The February 3rd judgement by the European Court of Human Rights furthermore underlined that Russia bears responsibility for the inhuman and degrading treatment of Navalny in detention and for the lack of adequate response to his requests. Especially given recent findings published by the United Kingdom, Sweden, France, Germany and the Netherlands, we reiterate our demands for a thorough and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
