May 20, 2015 - St-John's, Newfoundland and Labrador The Honourable Rob Moore, Regional Minister for Newfoundland and Labrador and Minister of State (ACOA), on behalf of the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, today announced an over $40 million investment by the Government of Canada in the Canadian Coast Guard. A new Atlantic region headquarters will be built at the existing Coast Guard base in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador.
