The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, today announced an investment of $7.2 million to support improvement projects at three small craft harbours in New Brunswick. This investment is part of the regular program funding for small craft harbours across Canada in 2014-2015.

The Canadian Coast Guard announces the reopening of its seasonal rescues stations in Bainsville (Ontario), Pointe-Anglais (Oka), Beaconsfield, Longueuil, Sorel and Trois-Rivières. These bases will be in regular operation starting at noon May 30, 2014 until September 1, 2014, Monday to Thursday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 10 p.m. and Friday to Sunday between 10 a.m. and 10 p.m.
