Alberta's capacity to create vaccines with potential to help people around the world got a boost today with investments from the Governments of Canada and Alberta towards the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Carbohydrate Science (AICCS) at the University of Alberta. The combined $4.35 million investment will go towards the purchase of specialized equipment needed to advance the development of vaccines and other therapeutics for global health problems. This joint investment will contribute towards the total project cost of $6.34 million dollars.
