Andrew Bennett, Canada's Ambassador for Religious Freedom, today announced he will visit Ukraine from October 6 to 11, 2014. During his visit, Ambassador Bennett will extend Canada's support to the Ukrainian people and underscore Canada's interest in and commitment to religious freedom through support to Ukrainian institutions.

The Government of Canada is delivering its first shipment of personal protective equipment (PPE) to help protect healthcare workers on the front line of the Ebola outbreak in Sierra Leone. The first shipment consists of 128,000 face shields which left Trenton, Ontario on a Department of National Defence Hercules Aircraft at 8 am this morning.
