Mount Royal to receive more than $5 million for priority infrastructure projects

The Honourable Senator Jean-Guy Dagenais, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Denis Lebel, and Pierre Arcand, Quebec Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and Member of the National Assembly for Mount Royal, on behalf of Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Pierre Moreau, are pleased to announce that the town of Mount Royal will receive $5,808,925 over the next five years under the new federal-provincial Gas Tax Fund agreement and from the Government of Quebec's contribution for the completion of priority infrastructure projects.

Senator and Leader of the Government in the Senate, the Honourable Claude Carignan, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Denis Lebel, and the Member of Provincial Parliament for Champlain, Pierre Michel Auger, on behalf of Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, Pierre Moreau, are pleased to announce that the nine municipalities of the provincial electoral district of Champlain will receive $6,761,183 over the next five years under the new federal-provincial Gas Tax Fund agreement and from the Government of Quebec's contribution for the completion of priority infrastructure projects. Under the federal Gas Tax Fund and the contribution from the Government of Quebec, financial support for municipal infrastructure in Quebec will amount to $2.67 billion over the next five years.

The Honourable Maxime Bernier, Minister of State (Small Business and Tourism, and Agriculture) and Member of Parliament for Beauce, on behalf of the Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, the Honourable Denis Lebel, Pierre Moreau, Quebec's Minister of Municipal Affairs and Land Occupancy, and Robert Dutil, Member of Parliament for Beauce-Sud, are pleased to announce that the municipalities of the provincial electoral districts of Beauce-Nord and Beauce-Sud will receive $48,294,483 over the next five years under the new federal-provincial Gas Tax Fund agreement and from the Government of Quebec's contribution for the completion of priority infrastructure projects. More precisely, municipalities in Beauce-Nord will receive $22,141,880, while municipalities in Beauce-Sud will receive $26,152,603.
