Phase 1 of the Crossings Leisure Complex continues to take shape and is on track for its grand opening in the fall of 2016. Representatives from all levels of government today toured the construction site and witnessed the progress being made on the 11,600-square-metre facility that will enhance the quality of life in Lethbridge by providing an array of opportunities for individual, family and group recreation for all ages.
Mike Allen, Member of Parliament for Tobique–Mactaquac, on behalf of the Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Infrastructure, Communities and Intergovernmental Affairs and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, was joined today by Chuck Chiasson, Member of the Legislature for Victoria-Vallée, on behalf of the Honourable Brian Kenny, New Brunswick Minister of Environment and Local Government, and Allain Desjardins, Mayor of Saint-André, to announce $427,629 in federal funding for water infrastructure upgrades in Saint-André.
On May 22, 2015, the Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and the Honourable Kerry-Lynne D. Findlay, MP for Delta-Richmond East and Minister of National Revenue, will announce improvement projects at Steveston Harbour and a significant investment in British Columbia's small craft harbours.

WEST VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA - The Honourable Gail Shea, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, will announce significant investments by the Government of Canada for infrastructure, conservation and science. The Minister will be joined by Randy Kamp, Member of Parliament for Pitt Meadows - Maple Ridge - Mission and Parliamentary Secretary for Fisheries and Oceans and John Weston, Member of Parliament for West Vancouver, Sunshine Coast and Sea-Sky Country. Also in attendance will be Dr. John Nightingale, President and CEO of the Vancouver Aquarium and Dr. Brian Riddell, President and CEO of the Pacific Salmon Foundation.
