Every year on May 31, the World Health Organization marks World No Tobacco Day - a day to highlight the health risks associated with tobacco use and to promote policies aimed at reducing tobacco consumption.
The Honourable Greg Rickford, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources and Minister for the Federal Development Initiative for Northern Ontario, today issued the following statement following the announcement by the National Energy (NEB) that operators of pipeline infrastructure must now set aside funds to fully cover the costs of potential environmental impacts and subsequent remediation for pipeline abandonment.
