The Canadian Coast Guard would like to notify the residents of Repentigny and those living along the shore of the L'Assomption, Prairies, Mille-Îles and Châteauguay Rivers that spring icebreaking operations will begin on on or about Sunday, March 20th, 2009.
A First Nation youth leadership group from the Penticton Indian Band was presented with a steersman paddle to speed them on their journey to a promising career and honour their leadership, in a small ceremony during GATHERING OUR VOICES 2009. The support to Les Amants de la scène will enable the promoter to present more than 60 performances in various performance venues in Saint-Georges-Beauce. Ovascène will receive funding enabling it to produce more than 25 events in Sainte-Marie.
