Atlantic Roasted Products Inc. has its roots in the family farm. When Anthony and Anna Nabuurs ran their family hog farm they used roasted soy beans to supplement animal feed for their livestock. When they exited the industry in 2007, they established Atlantic Roasted Products Inc. and began to distribute the feed supplement to other farmers.
Today, Leona Aglukkaq, Minister of the Environment, Minister of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency and Minister for the Arctic Council, on behalf of Peter MacKay, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada, announced $631, 204 in funding over two years for the Northwest Territories Department of Justice Community Justice Division.
The Government of the Northwest Territories manages its Community Justice Program in partnership with the Aboriginal Justice Strategy. The program works directly and indirectly with local justice committees across the Territories to develop and deliver a variety of diversion and restorative justice activities.

The Honourable Alice Wong, Minister of State (Seniors), today announced the new priority for the National Seniors Council (NSC). The NSC will build on its work from 2013/14 and further examine barriers that prevent communities and seniors from reaching out to each other. It will also consider ways to encourage and facilitate communities to establish meaningful contact with socially isolated seniors in their neighborhoods.
