The Government of Canada today announced the opening of passport receiving services within the Service Canada Centre in Chatham, Ontario, located at 120 Wellington Street West. This will allow for increased capacity and efficiency for the Government of Canada to provide passport services to clients in the Chatham area.
Minister of Justice and Attorney General Peter MacKay today began a three-day working visit to the United Kingdom, where he will attend the Global Law Summit, take part in discussions and bilateral meetings, and meet with Canadian law students at the University of Leicester Law School.

Today, Environment Minister and M.P. for Nunavut Leona Aglukkaq, on behalf of Justice Minister Peter MacKay, announced $225,000 in funding for the Arctic Children and Youth Foundation to explore the development of a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre (CYAC), the Umingmak Child and Youth Protection Centre, that would serve young victims and their families living in Nunavut.
