Suzanne M. Benoît (BA [Psychology], University of Ottawa; MBA, University of Ottawa) was appointed President-Chief Executive Officer of Aéro Montréal in August 2006. Prior to joining Aéro Montréal, she led the Longueuil Economic Development Agency as its president and CEO from the day it was founded in 2002. From 1999 to 2003, she led the foreign investment prospecting team in the Americas division of Investissement Québec. Between 1991 and 1999, she held various management positions with Hydro-Québec, including director of governmental and institutional relations, and director of industrial and economic development in the utility's Major Industrial Clients division. Beginning in 1979, she worked in the federal civil service in Ottawa and elsewhere in Canada as an assistant director at Industry Canada's International Affairs Division, where she was responsible for industrial cooperation between Canada and Japan, and Canada and South Korea. Ms. Benoît was also an assistant director in the marketing of defence products at the Department of External Affairs and International Trade.
