Perimeter Medical Imaging, Inc., a Toronto-based medical device company, will develop and test an innovative new breast cancer imaging tool thanks to an investment by the Harper Government of $980,000.
In 2013, the Government of Canada allocated $60 million over five years to the Canada Accelerator and Incubator Program (CAIP) through the Economic Action Plan, with an additional $40 million in 2014, to help outstanding incubators and accelerators expand their services to small and medium-sized businesses.

The Government of Canada's investment in Communitech Corporation, was made through the Canada Accelerator and Incubator Program (CAIP).

As parents across the country prepare to send their kids back to school, the Government of Canada is providing them with much-needed support through the increased Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB). The Honourable Pierre Poilievre, Minister of Employment and Social Development, joined by Scott Armstrong, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Employment and Social Development and Member of Parliament for Cumberland–Colchester–Musquodoboit Valley, highlighted the boosted payments provided to families today in Truro. The increased UCCB will provide almost $2,000 per year for each child under 6, and $720 per year for each child aged 6 through 17.
Foraco Canada Ltd. will receive up to $170,000 in funding through NRC-IRAP to support the continued development of a data acquisition system to capture and record essential production data from a drilling rig. The collected data will be used to create and implement best practices for drilling under different conditions, as well as increasing the overall productivity and the safety of crews and rigs.
