VAL-D'OR, March 28, 2003 - The Government of Canada's Canada Pavilion is coming to the Salon science et technologie. "Visiting the Canada Pavilion is an excellent way for people to learn more about numerous services and programs offered by the Government of Canada," said Ralph Goodale, Minister of Public Works and Government Services and Minister responsible for Communication Canada. "More than two and a half million Canadians have visited the pavilion in every region of our country since the summer of 2000."Under the theme Services for You, the Canada Pavilion -- which is making its first visit to the Salon science et technologie -- brings together Government of Canada departments and agencies, providing Canadians with one- stop access to information on services available to them.Four federal departments and/or organizations are expected to be part of the Canada Pavilion in Val-d'Or : Canadian International Development Agency, Natural Resources Canada, Human Resources Development Canada and Communication Canada. In addition, a federal partner, the Société d'aide au développement des collectivités de la Vallée-de-l'Or, will be part of the Pavilion.This year, the Canada Pavilion will visit over 20 fairs, events and trade shows across the country.
