TORONTO - July 7, 2004 - The Canadian Transportation Agency will hold a public hearing in Toronto beginning on September 27, 2004, on the merits of three complaints filed against Jetsgo Corporation alleging that the air carrier's $250 liability limit for baggage lost, damaged or delayed on its domestic flights is unreasonable. In the course of the public hearing, the Agency will hear evidence from interested persons and organizations with respect to factors which air carriers should consider in establishing reasonable liability limits for baggage lost, damaged or delayed on domestic flights. Pursuant to the Canada Transportation Act, if, upon complaint, the Agency finds that terms or conditions of carriage applicable to a domestic service are unreasonable or unduly discriminatory, it may suspend or disallow those terms or conditions and substitute other terms or conditions in their place.
