The affected product may contain milk protein that is not declared on the label. This alert is of concern to those individuals who have allergies to milk protein. The Sunny D (Sunny Delight) Smooth California Style – Orange Flavoured Citrus Punch With Other Natural Flavours in 2.8 litre plastic bottle bears the UPC 0 68700 57988 2. The affected product has been distributed in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Yukon and Ontario. No other codes are affected by this alert. Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk protein. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product. Saputo Inc., Saint-Léonard, Québec, is voluntarily recalling the product from the marketplace. Consumers should return the product to point of sale for a refund. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
