OTTAWA, March 9, 2007 – The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and
Jack’s Foods are warning people with allergies to egg, milk and soy
proteins not to consume Jack’s brand sandwich products described below.
The affected products contain egg, milk and soy proteins which are not declared
on the label.

The affected products have been distributed in Prince Edward Island.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of
these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening
reaction in persons with allergies to egg, milk and soy proteins.
The manufacturer, Jack’s Foods, Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island, is
voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the
effectiveness of the recall.
