OTTAWA, April 4, 2007 - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and
Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd. are warning people with
allergies to egg and soy proteins not to consume the various sandwich products
described below. The affected products contain egg and soy proteins which are
not declared on the label.

The affected products have been distributed nationally.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of
these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening
reaction in persons with allergies to egg and soy proteins.
The manufacturer, Hygaard Fine Foods Ltd.,
Sherwood Park, Alberta, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the
marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the
effectiveness of the recall.
