The Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency (the Agency) invites the public to comment on the conclusions, recommendations and any other aspect of the comprehensive study report prepared for the upgrading of the Elora Well System in the Township of Centre Wellington, Ontario.
Public comments received by July 4, 2008, will be considered. All documents received will be considered public and will become part of the public registry.

The Township of Centre Wellington is upgrading the Elora Well System. The purpose of the project is to address the need for additional supply capacity within the community for a 10-year planning period and bring the water supply system into compliance with the Ontario Drinking Water Systems Regulation.
The project is proposed under the Canada-Ontario Infrastructure Program.
In accordance with the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act, Industry Canada, the responsible authority, has undertaken a comprehensive study of the project and has submitted its report to the Minister of the Environment and to the Agency.
Following the public comment period on the report, and upon review of the comments received, the Minister of the Environment will issue an environmental assessment decision statement.
