That the following tips can help you make your payments to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA)?
- Save time and paper and receive proof of payment by paying your taxes through your financial institution's electronic payment options or through a third-party service provider.
- Use My Account at www.cra.gc.ca/myaccount to view your personal income tax payments, set-up a pre-authorized payment plan, or arrange direct deposit for your tax refunds and benefit payments.
- Use My Business Account at www.cra.gc.ca/mybusinessaccount to view goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST),* source deductions, corporation income tax, and other business payments received by the CRA. For source deductions, you can view your remitting requirements or provide a nil remittance online. Starting now, you will be able to transfer payments and credits in real time from one period to another within your GST/HST,* corporation income tax, or other levies accounts.
- Businesses can request additional remittance vouchers, payment searches, and credit transfers for GST/HST,* corporation income tax, and other levies accounts using our My Business Account or Online Requests for Business at www.cra.gc.ca/requests-business.
- If you pay by cheque or money order, ensure the following:
- you make the cheque or money order payable to the "Receiver General";
- the amount paid matches the amount on your remittance voucher; and
- your social insurance number or 15-character Business Number is written on the back of the cheque or money order.
