OTTAWA, ONTARIO, July 13, 2010 - Today, the Honourable Lisa Raitt, Canada's Minister of Labour, congratulated Jazz Air Limited Partnership and the Air Line Pilots Association on renewing their collective agreement.
"I thank the Air Line Pilots Association, Jazz Air management, and the federal mediators, who worked diligently to arrive at a negotiated settlement," said Minister Raitt. "I applaud the parties for reaching an agreement and avoiding a work stoppage."
This agreement was reached through intense bargaining between both parties, with the assistance of mediators from the Government of Canada's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.
