OTTAWA, ONTARIO, November 9, 2010 - I applaud Cameco Corporation and the United Steelworkers of America, Local 8914, for having ratified a new collective agreement that will ensure the ongoing manufacturing of fuel for Canada's reactor fleet, and the production of uranium for international use.
Cameco Corporation and the United Steelworkers of America are to be commended for reaching a negotiated agreement without interruption of services. I would also like to thank the mediator from the Government of Canada's Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for assisting them through their negotiations.
